EuroMillions is one of Europe's largest transnational lottery games, played across nine participating countries: the UK, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Switzerland. Launched in February 2004, it has produced some of the biggest lottery jackpots in history, with the cap set at €250 million.

Players choose 5 main numbers from a pool of 1 to 50, plus 2 Lucky Star numbers from a separate pool of 1 to 12. The odds of matching all 5 main numbers and both Lucky Stars are approximately 1 in 139,838,160 — which is why jackpots frequently roll over into huge sums. There are 13 prize tiers in total, giving players multiple ways to win.

Draws take place every Tuesday and Friday evening at approximately 8:45 PM GMT. In the UK, every EuroMillions ticket also enters the Millionaire Maker draw, which guarantees at least one UK millionaire per draw via a unique alphanumeric code.

EuroMillions has undergone several format changes since its launch. The current 5/50 + 2/12 format was introduced in September 2016 (replacing the previous 2/11 Lucky Star pool). The jackpot cap was raised from €190 million to €250 million in February 2020, and a “Super Draw” mechanism periodically seeds the jackpot at €130 million.
